Pittsburg

Our Pittsburg location has three levels of day service support, based on the needs of the individual.

The Lodge offers a more relaxed setting for people who are older or who face medical challenges.
Community Access  provides daily outings to museums, shopping and restaurants.
Extremely Outrageous Creations is a small retail boutique, where clients redo furniture, build items and make crafts to sell in the store, while earning a wage.

We also offer the Lair-Oehme Fitness Center, which is the only workout center in the Midwest dedicated to those living with intellectual disabilities. The center provides an opportunity for our Special Olympics athletes to train for competition. Our program has produced seven world champions. Clients also benefit from the Midwest’s largest multisensory room, the Snoozellen Room, which provides therapy for those living with autism and other developmental disabilities, including brain injury.

Valley Center

Valley Center also has three levels of service support, which include:

The Social Activity Program offers a more laid back setting for people who are older or who face medical challenges, while doing activities such as art therapy, bingo, painting, etc.
The Community Group goes on daily outings to do Meals on Wheels, museums, shopping, restaurants, the zoo, bowling, and more.
Shred’R’US is a group of individuals who work by shredding papers for all of our Medicalodge locations, three days a week and do community activities two days a week.
